The Colour Chameleon — Paint Color Consultant

Atlanta paint color consultant

The Colour Chameleon — paint and architectural color consulting for Atlanta homes, in person.

Twelve paint chips on the table, and the wallstill isn't right.

The Pinterest board, the mockups, the little sample pots — you did everything right, and the room still won't match the vision. It's not you. Color shifts with light, floors, brick, even the house next door. Catching that before you buy paint is my whole job.

In-person consultations across north metro Atlanta — Roswell, Marietta, Johns Creek, and Cumming, and the suburbs in between.

Right the first time.

I'm Patricia. I've spent nine years matching colors to homes — and fifteen years painting them before that. Professional artists hire me, not because they can't see color, but because seeing color on a wall, in your light, next to your floors, is its own craft. I work in your taste, not mine: my job is getting it right before a single gallon of paint is bought.

My story

Interior and exterior color consultations in metro Atlanta

Explore how I work with homeowners to get it right the first time.

Why homeowners get paint color wrong

It's almost never taste. The chip is one inch of color under store lighting; your wall is four hundred square feet of it under a sky that changes hourly. North-facing rooms cool a color down, afternoon sun burns it out, and the floors, the brick, and the countertops push their undertones onto everything above them.

So the sample pots multiply, the wall grows a patchwork, and the room still won't match the inspiration. The fix isn't another chip — it's testing the color against the house it has to live in, before anyone opens a gallon.

What happens in a consultation

  1. You talk, I listen

Your tastes, what's staying, and whether this is the forever home. Your taste is the brief — not mine.

  2. I read the house

Light, floors, trim, brick — the things already deciding your color. Ninety minutes, on site, in your light.

  3. You test before you commit

You keep the scheme and the swatches, with how to prove them on your own wall before a gallon is bought.
